పుట్టుకతో ఎవడూ "మహాత్ముడు " కాడు..
పుట్టుకతోనే ఎవడూ "దుర్మార్గుడు" కాడు...

పుట్టినప్పుడు ఎవరూ చెడ్డవాడుగా పుట్టడు....
కాలం, పరిస్తుతులు వాళ్ళను చెడ్డ వాళ్ళు గా మారుస్తాయి ...
సమాజం, సంఘం, అవిటి ప్రభుత్వం వాళ్ళను చెడ్డవాళ్ళగా చేస్తాయి...

ఆకలి బాధకు తట్టుకోలేక "ఆయుధాన్ని" ఆశ్రయిస్తాడు ఒకడు...
ప్రజల ఆకలి కేకలను తీర్చడానికి తనని తాను "ఆయుధంగా" మార్చుకొని "అరణ్యం" వైపు అడుగులు వేస్తాడు మరొకడు..
ప్రజలకు ఆకాశంలో చందమామను "అద్దంలో" చూపి "అసెంబ్లీ" వైపు అడుగు వేస్తాడు ఇంకొకడు...

అడువుల్లోకి వెళ్ళిన వారు ప్రజల్లో చైతన్యాన్ని తెస్తారట..
అస్సంబ్లీకి వెళ్ళిన వారు "శాసన సభ" దద్దరిల్లేలా ప్రజా సమస్యలు ఏకరువు పెడతారట...

అయినా ప్రజల ఆత్మహత్యలు ఆగడం లేదు..
వారి బాధలు తీరడం లేదు..

మంచంలో మాయదారి రోగంతో చావు-బతుకుల మధ్య పోరాడుతున్న ముసలి తల్లికి మందలు కొనలేక...
చేతకానివాడు అని సమాజం ముద్ర వేసిమానసికంగా వెలి వేసి,
ఓర కంట చూస్తున్న ఆ "వికారపు" చూపులను తట్టుకోలేక...
పాల వాడి, పచారి కొట్టు వాడి బాకీ తీర్చలేక....
అప్పుల బాధ తాళలేక, పేగులను మెలి వేస్తున్న ఆకలిని బాధను చంపుకోలేక..
బక్క చిక్కి, నోట మాట రాక, నీరసంతో నవ్వే కొడుకు మోము చూడలేక..
తనతో ఏడడుగులు నడిచిన దౌర్భాగ్యానికి -
పాతికేళ్ళ నవ యవ్వన ప్రాయంలో
పండు ముదుసలి తనాన్ని ఆపాదించుకున్న
భార్య ఇంకిపోయిన కన్నీటి కళ్ళలోకి చూడలేక.....

ఉరి తాడుని బంగారపు గొలుసులా మెడకు అలంకరించుకొని..
చావుని చిరు నవ్వుతో ఆహ్వానించి...
